An American Flag flown days after the 9/11 tragedy at Ground Zero was raised Friday morning in front of the Prince George Police Department.
The flag flew for nine minutes and 11 seconds as Sheriff Bucky Allin and Police & Fire and EMS personnel looked on along with BOS Vice Chairman Donald Hunter and County Administrator Percy Ashcraft.
The ceremony was coordinated through the efforts of Prince George resident Don Vtipil, an advocate for veterans and their families.
Weather permitting, the Flag will be raised tonight at the Prince George High School Football home game vs. Thomas Dale. Pregame begins at 6:00.
