Improvements include a new turn lane and traffic signal replacement
PRINCE GEORGE —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will begin work on a project to improve the intersection of Courthouse Road (Route 106) and Laurel Spring Road (Route 616) in Prince George County the week of August 28.
Crews will construct a northbound right turn lane from Courthouse Road (Route 106) to Laurel Spring Road (Route 616) and replace the intersection’s traffic signals to accommodate the new travel movement. The work will improve safety and traffic flow at this busy intersection. Alternating daytime lane closures are expected from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Work on the $1.1 million project is expected to be complete by winter 2017-18.
