Judge Albertson ruled that the charges were not crimes under Virginia law.
These charges should never have been filed against me. I had no supervisory authority over the Executive Director of the Front Royal/Warren County Economic Development Authority. Even though I did not supervise the Executive Director, when questions arose regarding the finances, I recommended retaining the services of a forensic auditor. After months of intensive review, the forensic auditors were able to determine that there were significant improprieties. I then worked with outside legal counsel to file a civil lawsuit to recover the stolen funds.
My integrity is extremely important to me. I would never sanction any type of illegal or improper action.
I am pleased to announce my family is in the process of moving to the area, and I look forward to serving Prince George County Board of Supervisors and the Community."
