No one was hurt, but police said the tractor-trailer’s load was dumped onto Courtland Road, which required an extended time for cleanup

PRINCE GEORGE — An overturned tractor-trailer hauling plywood resulted in no injuries to the driver but plenty of headaches for motorists trying to get through the area Thursday afternoon.

Prince George Police Officer Alexis Grochmal said the accident happened shortly before noon on state Route 35 near its intersection with Templeton Drive. No one was hurt in the crash, but the truck’s load of plywood was dumped all over the road.

Route 35, also known as Courtland Road, was closed for an extended amount of time while crews cleaned up the scene. The Virginia Department of Transportation sent out warnings to expect delays and encouraged motorists to find alternate routes around the scene.

Police still are investigating the cause of the crash. There has been no official word of any charges.
