Super Kids Ministries is in need of your help!

Prince George County employees are giving back to the community during the upcoming holiday season.  Employees have been challenged to help them complete their new home.

Super Kids Ministries has completed phase 1 of their group home which will be able to provide long-term care to adults with intellectual disabilities.  Below is a list of some of the items that are needed for donation:

  • Grade land for driveway, parking spaces, and handicap ramp
  • Security lights around outside of the house
  • Purchase and install security system with sensors on doors and windows
  • Gates installed on both decks
  • EXIT signs need to be installed and lighted at each exit
  • Fire extinguishers needed in kitchen, laundry rooms and office
  • All doors:  bedroom, bath, exit and basement must have locks for privacy
  • Install handicap bars and seats in showers
  • Surge protectors (approximately 15 are needed)
  • Bedroom furniture to include full-size bed, 5-6 drawer dresser, dresser with mirror, night stand
  • Bedding supplies:  sheets, pillow cases, and bedspreads
  • Lamps
  • Medical supply kits
  • Drapes/Curtains
  • Items for 6 bathrooms:  shower curtains, waste basked, soap dish, cleaners, and bath tissues
  • Bath towels, face cloths and hand towels
  • Laundry room items:  detergent (powder/POD's only) and laundry baskets
  • Entertainment system, CD system, and video screen
  • TV sets for living room and visitor's rooms
  • Board Games
  • Furniture for visitor's rooms:  sofa, love seat or chairs; desk for computer; lamps; and pictures
  • Paper products:  paper towels and paper plates
  • Nice grill
  • Outside furniture
