2017 Prince George Community Police Academy
The Prince George Police Department will be hosting a Community Police Academy beginning Tuesday, September 5, 2017. This 10-week program will meet on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The Community Police Academy is open to any county resident over the age of 18 who would like to learn about police operations, law, firearms, illegal drugs, search and seizure, crime scene investigations, K-9, criminal investigations and several other subjects. Classes will be held at the Prince George County Police Department.
At the conclusion of the program, graduates will have the opportunity, while riding with a police officer, to experience policing from an officer’s perspective. Participation in the Ride-Along Program is not required but is available to those who are interested.
