LANE CLOSURES PLANNED FOR JULY 5-7 ON
TEMPLE AVE. FOR INTERCHANGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

Utility relocation continues this week on Temple Ave.

Project update:
Crews will continue utility relocation work around the current travel lanes.

Monday, July 3-Tuesday, July 4
No lane closures are scheduled July 3-4 due to the Fourth of July holiday.

Wednesday, July 5
Temple Ave./Rt. 144 east (Colonial Heights) – Alternating lanes will be closed from Hamilton Ave. to I-95 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for utility relocation. All ramps will remain open and accessible during this work.

Thursday, July 6
Temple Ave./Rt. 144 east (Colonial Heights) – Alternating lanes will be closed from Hamilton Ave. to I-95 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for utility relocation. All ramps will remain open and accessible during this work.

Friday, July 7
Temple Ave./Rt. 144 east (Colonial Heights) – Alternating lanes will be closed from Hamilton Ave. to I-95 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for utility relocation. All ramps will remain open and accessible during this work.

Saturday, July 8
No lane closures scheduled.

Reminder:
Hamilton Ave. is closed from Temple Ave. to Prince Albert Ave. continuously through summer for accelerated road work and drainage facilities installation. Local drivers can use the posted detour.

Project information
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is improving the interchange at the I-95 ramps and Temple Ave. in Colonial Heights. The project will replace the existing interchange with a roundabout and extend the interstate ramps to improve safety and smooth traffic flow.
