(Prince George, VA) –Trio Arrested in Website Scam Robbery
Prince George County Police Department arrested three individuals this afternoon in connection to a robbery that took place on Friday, April 28th, in the parking lot of the Baymont Inn on Oaklawn Boulevard.
Police arrested and charged Myaisha Fells, age 25, and Brian Watson, age 26, with conspiracy, robbery, use of a firearm, and attempted malicious wounding. Quana Everette, age 22, was charged with conspiracy and robbery. The last known address of all three suspects was on Navajo Court in the City of Petersburg.
Police believe that the trio lured an unsuspecting man to the hotel parking lot under the ruse of a date by utilizing the “Plenty of Fish” website. Once the victim arrived, he was robbed of cash at gunpoint and the suspects fled in a vehicle that was waiting close by. The victim was not injured during the robbery.
The trio was transported to Riverside Regional Jail pending a court hearing.
