(Prince George, VA) –Econo Lodge Robbery Ends With Arrests

On Friday evening (Jan. 27th) at approximately 6:15PM, two masked gunmen entered the Econo Lodge office area on Parkdale Road demanding money. Both suspects, described as a white male and a black male, displayed semi-automatic handguns, and locked the clerk in an office area before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money.

Upon arrival, officers canvassed the area, and located two suspicious males matching the suspect descriptions in a nearby convenience store restroom. Evidence recovered from both men, along with additional investigative information, lead to the arrest of both subjects.

The suspects were identified as Howard Jones Jr., age 23, of Hopewell, and Jeremy Fisher, age 19 of Hanover. Jones was charged with armed robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Fisher was charged with armed robbery, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. Additionally, Fisher was charged in an unrelated case for burglary and larceny of firearms. Both suspects were transported to Riverside Regional Jail.
