Senior Citizens Police Academy

Senior Citizens are the fastest growing segment of our population and that growth can also mean an increased likelihood of crime. Prince George Police Department Senior Citizens Academy (SCPA) helps Prince George senior population reduce the possibility of crime and improves quality of life.

From home security to defensive driving and from elder abuse to fraud prevention, Prince George Senior Citizens Academy serves as a vehicle for law enforcement professionals to share their experience and knowledge. The Senior Citizens Academy allows citizens an opportunity to become familiar with the day-to-day operations of the police department. Participants gain a better understanding of the procedures, guidelines, responsibilities, demands, personnel, equipment, policies, and laws that guide the department's decisions.

The Prince George Police Department is excited to announce the dates for the3rd class of the Senior Citizens Police Academy.

Classes will begin on September 6th and will run to November 18th, 2016. Please come and be a part of this exciting program that the Prince George County Police Department, Prince George County Sheriff's Office, and the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney sponsors.
