(Prince George, VA) – Arrest made in String of Larcenies from Lowes

On June 5, 2018, members of the Prince George County Police Department arrested Demarreo Walker and Delonte Evans for stealing numerous lawn equipment items from Lowes Home Improvement store in Prince George County.  Between the dates of May 23rd and June 3rd of this year, twenty-six pieces of lawn equipment, valued at over $300 per item, were stolen by the suspects.

The investigation revealed that Delonete Evans, a Lowe’s employee, would meet with Walker inside the store to obtain lawn equipment.  Evans would then escort Walker outside of the store with the unpaid goods. With the assistance of Lowes employees, and store camera video footage, police were able to identify the individuals and retrieve some of the stolen items.

Demarreo Antjuan Walker, age 32, of Chesterfield County, and Delonete Evans, age 25, of Petersburg were transported to the Riverside Regional Jail.  Both individuals have been charged with a total of sixteen counts of grand larceny and five counts of selling stolen property for profit.  Evans was also charged with four counts of conspiracy to commit larceny.

Detectives are asking anyone that may have purchased any items from Demarreo Walker on Facebook Marketplace, between the dates of May 23rd and June 3rd, to please contact Detective Mann by phone at (804) 733-2773 or by email JMann@princegeorgecountyva.gov.
