Notice is hereby given pursuant to § 15.2-1427, Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, to all interested persons that the Prince George County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, Third Floor of the County Administration Building, 6602 Courts Drive, Prince George, Virginia, (located at the intersection of Laurel Springs Road and Courts Drive in the County Government Complex) to consider the following:

Ordinance to amend The Code Of The County Of Prince George, Virginia, 2005, as amended, by adding § 78-16.1 and repealing § 78-266 prohibiting any person from keeping inoperable vehicles except within an enclosed structure or shielded or screened from view and providing for removal and disposal of such vehicles

A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available for review in the Office of the County Administrator/Clerk to the Board of Supervisors, Third Floor, County Administration Building, 6602 Courts Drive, Prince George, Virginia, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.; Tel. 722-8600. All interested persons shall be given an opportunity to be heard.

COUNTY OF PRINCE GEORGE

Public Notice is hereby given to all interested persons regarding the following public meeting:

The Prince George County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 beginning at 7:30 p.m. concerning the following:

SPECIAL EXCEPTION SE-14-04 Request of SPN Corporation dba Quality Inn pursuant to § 90-393 (7) to permit a hotel or motel with or without a restaurant in the B-1, General Business District. The request property is located at 11974 South Crater Road and is identified as Tax Map 430(05)00-002-C.

COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT CPA-14-01 A request to amend the Generalized Future Land Use Map of the 2012 Comprehensive Plan to designate a 19.84 acre portion of Tax Map 580(03)00-002-0 fronting along Courtland Road from an agricultural designation to a commercial designation.

REZONING RZ-14-01 Request of Robert Hill, Jr. to conditionally rezone 19.84 acres from R-A, Residential – Agricultural to B-1, General Business District along Courtland Road and also to rezone 23.72 acres from B-1, General Business to R-A, Residential – Agricultural District. The subject property is located in the northeastern quadrant of Prince George Drive and Courtland Road and it is identified as part of Tax Map 580(03)00-002-0.

The meeting will be held in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, third floor, County Administration Building, pursuant to §15.2-2204, §15.2-2223 and §15.2-2285, The Code of Virginia (1950, as amended). A copy of the related material may be examined in Planning and Zoning in the County Administration Building open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, (804) 722-8678. All interested persons shall have the opportunity to be heard at said public hearings.

First half of 2015 Real Estate Taxes are due on or before December 5, 2014. Taxes not paid by this date will be subject to an immediate 10% penalty, plus interest.

If you own property in Prince George County and have not received a tax bill, please call (804) 722-8750. Tax bills will be mailed the first of November, 2014. Failure to receive a bill does not relieve the taxpayer of any additional charges that will accrue under the law for failure to pay within the prescribed time.

Office hours 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. (Mail Early, Don’t Get Caught in the Tax Line! Must be postmarked by the U.S. Postal Service by December 5, 2014).
