Q: How much time does it take to complete the test? [GED]
The actual testing time for the five GED tests is 7 hours and 5 minutes. The tests are normally given in either one or two sittings. Preparation for the test will vary depending on an individual's skill level and dedication to a program of study.

Q: How much does it cost to take the test? [GED]
For the full test battery for a first-time tester, the cost is $43.50. If you need to retake a test, the cost is $7.00 per subject area.

You must register in person, show an official government issued ID and pay at the time of registration. Call 733-2670 to find out the closest registration location to you.

Q: Who can take the GED Test?
You may take the test if you are:
- Not enrolled in high school and are at least 18 years old. OR
- If you are under 18, have been released from compulsory school attendance by the local school division. OR
- Are enrolled in an ISAEP program.

Q: What subjects does the GED cover?
The GED is a series of five (5) tests with questions covering reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and science.
