The Prince George County Department of Social Services’ Fuel Assistance Program will be accepting applications for assistance with heating costs through November 9, 2012. Income of all household members must be verified. Income limits vary according to household size.

This program helps with home heating costs; but can also be used for furnace re-starts, late charges, delivery charges, installation charges, and connection or re-connection fees. Benefits are determined and authorizations for deliveries or service are sent to vendors in December. Benefit levels are based on household size, income, fuel type used and geographic area of the state.

To be eligible for this program, recipients must be residents of Prince George County, must have a heating expense responsibility, and must meet income guidelines.

Anyone needing an application or for further information regarding the Energy Assistance Program may call the Prince George Social Services, (804) 733-2650 between 8:30 A.M.-5:00P.M. or stop by the office at 6450 Administration Drive, Building #12, Prince George Va.
