Prince George Social Services Receives $500 Community Contribution Grant from John Randolph Foundation

The Prince George County Department of Social Services is getting in gear for the upcoming school year with the 1st Annual Prince George County Back to School Fair to provide school supplies to County students. The John Randolph Foundation has awarded a “Community Contribution” grant for $500.00 to support the event to be held on August 15, 2012 at Scott Park. These funds will be used to assist Social Services in purchasing school supplies to be distributed at the fair.

“The generosity of the John Randolph Foundation and the Prince George community will make a lasting impact on local children, as they will be able to start their school year off right. Thank you to all our community partners for helping to make this event happen.” stated Shel Douglas, Director of Prince George Social Services. Setting a good foundation for a successful school year is extremely important and is the goal of this program. Families are encouraged to come and enjoy the Back to School Fair on August 15, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Scott Memorial Park in Prince George County.
